Once you have decided to explore one of the most picturesque and lovely spots of the country, you’re all set to pack and plan. You need to spare a few days if you wish to enjoy the place to its fullest. While traversing to Valley of Flowers, you may also see Hemkund Sahib and Badrinath. Usually the actual time spent at the Valley of flowers is only one day. People take 6 days to reach and go back but spend just a day for the prime destination. If you are coming from a far off place, your trip might also be 1-2 weeks. How can you explore the complete splendor of the place in just one day? If you’re travelling in July-August, you must spare more time as this is the time Valley is in full bloom. If you’re spending a week’s time in the trip, the Valley is definitely worth most of it!

What happens when you reach Valley of Flowers for the first time?
The moment you reach the gate of Valley of Flowers, the sight is awesome and delightful. Natural beauty is blooming at its best with colonies of flowers and dense forest around. People want to capture every nuance and corner of this dream place and they are busy storing moments in their camera. It feels as if you have just reached but usually a span of 3-4 hours pass by.

The colossal spot has to be left by 5pm as one needs to reach Ghangaria by evening. Nobody wants to miss the charm of the Valley after reaching at its heart. We strongly recommend you spare one more extra day for the floral bliss. You can cover up a large area the very first day and explore the remaining beauty on the next day. 2 pm is an ideal target and gives you reasonable time to enjoy the place. Although, people are so enticed by the natural bliss of the spot and never want to go, we plan to move back to Ghangaria on time.
We also organize treks to Valley of Flowers. I personally accompany all my groups on the trip at least during the trekking part. This year all the fix departures in 2015. To know the fixed departures of 2015 kindly visit this page fixed departures page.
In 2012 one of my groups started on 29th July and was an extended one. We went 11 kilometer deep inside the valley of flowers. We did see many beautiful waterfalls, flowers and untouched natural beauty. You may check this post.
You must see our Deeper Parts Gallery to see what you will miss if you do not go in to the Deeper parts of the valley.
